Villnösstal valley in South Tyrol leads from the foot of the Geisler group mountains deep into the Dolomites. Lüsen, on the other hand, opens up onto a sunny high plateau with extensive meadows, larch groves and wide mountain pastures. While Villnösstal valley features ragged rocky formations and striking mountain silhouettes, high expanses and quiet paths are what make up the landscape in Lüsen. Puez-Geisler nature park and the extensive Lüsner Alm pasture shape the region. Lots of pastures are still farmed today and lend the area its original character. There are lots of hikes starting from the doorstep of your holiday flat or room on a farm. Families can wander across pastures and themed paths, seasoned mountain hikers can set off on spectacular tours to mountain peaks. Popular goals are Zanser Alm psture in Villnösstal valley or the vast expanses around Lüsen itself.
