‘Speck' and sausages

'Speck' is a fundamental part of life in South Tyrol. This delicious speciality enjoys close links to the land and its rural traditions. Previously a means of preserving meat over the winter months, it has now earned its place in modern lifestyles. And sausages are in a class of their own, too. 'Speck' from the 'Roter Hahn' brand is produced on farms in accordance with natural, traditional methods. It comes from pigs born on farms in South Tyrol and raised in a species-appropriate manner with lots of living space on Roter Hahn farms. When thinly sliced, it melts in the mouth, as the delicate salty-herby mixture, mild smoking and long maturation processes make it a real treat - just like 'Kaminwurzen' smoked sausages and farm sausage specialities.
