This sweet bread fills the kitchen with an incredible scent. Best enjoyed slathered in butter.

  • 250 ml
    Wasser
  • 250 ml
    milk
  • 35 g
    butter
  • 40 g
    yeast
  • 400 g
    dried fruit (apple, pear, plum)
  • 500 g
    flour
  • 250 g
    rye flour
  • 20 g
    salt
  • 10 g
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 50 g
    walnuts

Instructions - Fruity farm bread

    Step
    Gently heat the water, milk, butter and yeast.

    Step
    Cut the dried fruit into medium-sized pieces and briefly bring to the boil with 1 l water, then strain and leave to cool.

    Step
    Add the flour and the salt and sugar to the warmed milk-yeast mixture and combine well.

    Step
    Add the cooled dried fruit and the cinnamon and walnuts. Leave in a covered bowl for around 2 hours.

    Then put into a tin and bake in a pre-heated oven for around 30 minutes at 175° C.
