Knowing where it's from
The apple orchards of the Mühlgütl extend around the farm, on the sunny side and are shaped by the climate of Vinschgau. Various apple varieties and Pala pears are produced according to organic guidelines for further processing. The harvest can only happen when the fruits are suitably ripe and show the colours typical of the variety. Farmer Gerd also tends a couple of very old, tall apricot trees on the north side of the farm.
