The farm
First mentioned in records in 1379, Fronthof wine farm is a complex of listed buildings and is surrounded by vineyards at 800 metres above sea level in Völser Aicha, right beneath the Schlern massif.
The farmhouse is a real gem. It is the largest preserved farmhouse in South Tyrol, which was built out of stone blocks on a steep slope in the late gothic period. Imposing cellar vaults and a coat of arms featuring grapes and vines hewn in sandstone at the gothic entrance hall bear witness to this time. Wine has always been pressed on the farm. The wines may be purchased in the 'Buschenschank' bar or in the farm shop.
The farm's motto is 'enjoyment at its origin', meaning that we serve what we grow and process in the vineyards, on the fields and in the barn in the 'Buschenschank'.
The two new holiday flats are on the ground floor and enchant guests with their unique charm.
