Villnöss valley in the Dolomites is the first Slow Food Travel Destination in South Tyrol. Farming culture and sustainability are upheld in this valley in the Dolomites mainly by local farms. The Slow Food Project promotes regional food cycles and the farms involved offer some authentic interaction between visitors and the local people through Slow Food Travel.
'Roter Hahn' farms in Villnöss valley include Ansitz Ranuihof, Ganoihof organic farm, Unterkantiolerhof, Petrunderhof organic farm, Unterpiskoihof, as well as Proderhof. The farms are open to visitors regularly to offer them a sustainable travel experience with special projects.
