Cows return to the valley from their summer retreat in the Alpine pastures.This beautiful tradition is upheld every September in Tarsch and in Martell. Numerous wonderfully-decorated cows can be admired at both Alpine pasture cattle drives. Flowers and herbs are collected throughout the summer to decorate the animals' heads as artistically and colourfully as possible. And there’s a traditional festival at the valley station in Tarsch. Food, drink and the best entertainment are also provided.
