The "white gold" marble from Laas is known well beyond the province’s borders because of its unique purity and hardness, and the Vinschgau apricots for their uniquely sweet taste and excellent quality. With the “Marmor und Marillen” (Marble and Apricots) festival, Laas dedicates itself to its two precious resources. As part of a varied entertainment and cultural programme, visitors get to know about the wide range of products made from marble and apricots. Artists exhibit their works and you can look over the shoulders of sculptors as they create a new sculpture from Laas marble, visit the marble school, take part in guided marble tours, enjoy delicious food, and spend fun hours listening to typical music.
