Take a tip from us and go to the Farm Blossom Festival, which takes place in Lana and the surrounding area as part of the “Lana in Blossom" theme week. You can explore historic farms and fine mansions inside and out, and taste typical farm products while you’re there. The main focus of the Farm Blossom Festival is on regional food and farm products with apples taking pride of place - in the form of juice, or in the traditional “Scheiterhaufen" (type of apple pie), inside apple bread, or as apple tiramisù. Local wild herbs and freshly harvested asparagus are also on the menu in some of the farms, served traditionally and in innovative ways. And of course you mustn’t leave out the classic ‘Brettlmarende’ with its aromatic bacon and spicy cheese. All of these dishes are best accompanied by home-made wines, which are pressed in the old cellar vaults on the farms. Even young visitors won’t miss out during the Blütenhöfe festival.
