On a skiing holiday in South Tyrol you will find everything a winter sports enthusiast could wish for: plenty of sunshine, perfectly groomed pistes, the most modern lift facilities and exciting snow parks. In the huts you will be spoiled with delicacies from South Tyrolean cuisine.

The around 30 sun-kissed ski areas in South Tyrol offer ideal conditions for every level of skiing. Whether beginner or pro, family or leisure skier - everyone's wishes are fulfilled on the numerous slopes. The slopes also offer a stunning panorama of the snow-covered Dolomites. Those who are not yet sure how to handle their skis or snowboard can learn the necessary know-how with the trained ski instructors of the South Tyrolean winter sports resorts.

From December to the end of March, the ideal conditions for carefree skiing fun prevail in the ski areas with guaranteed snow. In the rustic Schnalstal valley, skiing is even possible from September to May. The glacier ski area is at over 3.000 m above sea level and is surrounded by breathtaking mountain peaks.

The ski areas in South Tyrol have joined together in three ski associations:

Dolomiti Superski with 12 ski areas and 1.200 kilometres of slopes

Ortler Skiarena with 15 ski areas and 400 kilometres of slopes

Skiworld Ahrntal with 4 ski areas and 76 kilometres of pistes

Open the farm door and into skiing fun

Farm holidays are a good choice for those who want to combine idyllic nature and skiing in South Tyrol. In the morning, a hearty farm breakfast with many of the farm's own products ensures the perfect start. You can ski directly from your accommodation to the slopes, avoiding long journey times and the hassle of looking for a parking space. And if your holiday farm is a little further away, there is usually a ski bus that will take you comfortably and safely to the lifts. After fun on the slopes, it's back to the cosy parlour, where the farmer is waiting for you with a hot cup of tea. Skiers, what more could you ask for?

For little skiers and leisurely skiers

Wherever you carve your turns in the snow, there is always a farm nearby for your skiing holiday in South Tyrol. On many farms with holiday apartments or rooms, the nursery slope is right in front of the door. Then it's time to strap on your skis and go! The nearest tow or chairlift is just a stone's throw away. Due to their manageability and the cosy atmosphere, small ski areas and village lifts are real insider tips. Nobody is jostling at the lifts, the pistes are pleasantly empty and parents can keep a close eye on their children. Many youngsters have learned to ski on the sunny slopes. Families and leisure skiers in particular combine skiing fun and the romance of winter in this way.
