The Strickerhof has been inhabited and managed by the Kasseroller family since 1834. As the first farm in the Etschtal valley, the Kasserollers have been protecting their apples with a net against hail and sunburn since 1992. In addition, Karl is one of the first organic farmers in South Tyrol and is happy to share his knowledge with young farmers. Karl is also a pioneer in Frangarter village life. He is a founding member of the music band Frangarto and an enthusiastic member of the folk music association. For this he was awarded the medal of merit of the state of Tyrol for special social achievements. While Karl cultivates the apples and grapes, his wife Josefine runs the farm shop and takes care of the courtyard.
