Knowing where it's from
The 3 vineyards of the Griesserhof are among the northernmost in Italy and are located within a radius of approx. 2 km from the farm. The location of Gols is a real specialty for the Eisacktal valley. It is not on one of the valley slopes of the Eisacktal valley, but right in the middle of the valley and faces south. Thus, the wines get the maximum amount of sunlight. The Rigger site is slightly higher but faces perfectly south - in a gentle arc resembling an amphitheater. As a result, this location is particularly protected from cold winds and enables the cultivation of heat-loving varieties. The Gall site goes up to 800 m above sea level. Due to their southeast orientation, the grapes cool down quickly after sunset. The spicy aroma of the Kerner grown there benefits from this.
