For many years, the Burger family has been cultivating a variety of berries and vegetables, which are then carefully turned into fruit jams, cordials and pickled vegetables by hand on the farm. A special feature is our use of quince to replace the commonly-used citric acid. The products on sale are made in a manner staying as close to nature as possible.

All berries, herbs, shrubs and vegetables are grown directly on the farm and on various fields in Niederdorf. Due to the cool climate in Alta Pusteria, the fruits grow and ripen much more slowly. This gives them a particularly intense aroma.

Processing
On the Beerenhof the harvest takes place in the morning and the processing in the afternoon. In this way, the fruit and vegetables are in the glass on the same day. The herbs provided are also always freshly picked. To ensure that this naturalness is preserved in the glass, the Burger family does not add artificial preservatives or colourings and ensures gentle processing at low temperatures.
