The farm
Our quiet farm is 2 km from Kastelruth. The largest high plateau in Europe, the Seiser Alm, Grödnertal valley and the unique Dolomites are in the immediate vicinity. Enjoy the fantastic view of the Ritten with the Rittnerhorn and the Eisacktal valley. If the visibility is good, you can also see the Ortler, the highest mountain in South Tyrol. The heart of the farm are its residents. The farming family and the animals. We, grandma and senior farmer Johanna, farmer Armin with his sons Hans, Josef, Luis and mother and farmer Theresia Hofer. Our "Puntscha" farm, as it is popularly known, is a classic South Tyrolean mountain farm. It is one of the oldest farms in Kastelruth, it was first mentioned in a document in 1410. It has been run lovingly and carefully as a family business by the Hofer family since 1900. The core of the farm is the dairy industry, we deliver the milk from our 18 cows to the Brimi milk processing company in Brixen every day.

Location & arrival
Arrival
Take the Klausen motorway exit and then drive in the direction of Bolzano. At Waidbrug follow the sign Schlerngebiet-Kastelruth, drive over the bridge, turn right at the roundabout, drive into the tunnel and after you have passed a gallery and another tunnel (please do not drive into the village of Tisens) continue in the direction of Kastelruth. Turn right 20 m after the sign Dolmiten-Unesco-Welterbe, there you will find three signs, one of them for the Puntschuhhof. This road leads below the Pilgramhof, then above the next farm, there is Runtschuh on the barn roof, further and 300 m through the forest and you have reached your destination, the Puntschuhhof.
