The farm
The Kaltenbrunnhof in Castelrotto is in a very sunny location at the foot of the Schlern, in the Tisens district at 930 m asl. As the name says, there is a cold fountain with spring water at the entrance to the courtyard, which makes many hikers happy. From the beautiful, large meadow you can enjoy the unique view of the Schlern massif and the Eisacktal. The family-friendly farm offers the ideal place to relax from everyday life, whether alone, as a young family or seniors. Younger guests rarely get bored at the Kaltenbrunnhof: the beautiful playground offers plenty of space to run around and the cheeky pygmy goats are always happy about a fresh tuft of grass. A special feature on our farm is our own fallow deer enclosure. "It's about 25 animals!" reports grandpa Toni. For the typical South Tyrolean Marende, bacon and smoked meat have been made according to traditional recipes in the family's own craft business for generations.

Location & arrival
Arrival
Coming from the north: Leave the A22 motorway in Klausen and drive towards Bolzano on the state road. Turn left at Waidbruck, then turn right at the roundabout in the direction of Schlerngebiet-Kastelruth. Shortly after the second tunnel, take the first left to Tisens. Follow the road without turning for another 1.5 km until you reach the Kaltenbrunnhof on the left.
Coming from the south: Leave the A22 motorway at Bozen Nord and take the state road in the direction of the Brenner Pass. At Blumau, take the tunnel on the right towards Brenner. Turn right at Waidbruck, then turn right at the roundabout in the direction of Schlerngebiet-Kastelruth. Shortly after the second tunnel, take the first left to Tisens. Follow the road without turning for another 1.5 km until you reach the Kaltenbrunnhof on the left.
