The farm
The Gamsegghof in Melag has been owned by the Hohenegger family since 1702, i.e. for over 300 years. The view from the window shows the beautiful head of the Langtauferertal valley with glaciers, meadows and forests. At 1,920 m above sea level, not only do the holiday guests feel completely comfortable in the four spacious holiday apartments, but also the 70 goats, five cows and six geese - both in the newly built barn and when out in nature. The heart of the organic farm is the cheese dairy: wonderful raw cow and goat milk cheeses mature here, while farmer Beatrix has found creative uses for the goose eggs.
