You know that the South Tyrol Horse and Wagon Days are here again when you can experience the ancient South Tyrolean tradition of impressive Haflinger teams racing against each other, and there’s an amazing atmosphere in the evening too. Here in Antholz Valley, guests and locals alike are captivated every year. Right from the start of the day you can admire beautiful Haflinger foals, and the organisers and participating breeders will be happy to answer questions from visitors who are interested. The Noriker foal show begins at noon. The next day, things really get going, because after the horse race course is inspected, the single-horse races start. In the afternoon, the excitement continues with the two-horse competitions. The evening will be cheerful with Tyrolean dance music and a prize-giving ceremony. On Sunday, the highlight of the event is a colourful parade in traditional costumes. In the afternoon, two-and four-horse wagon drivers will compete against each other.
