Those who take part in the Ötzi Alpine Marathon must not only have exceptional physical abilities, but be good all-rounders too. The marathon starts in Naturns with a mountain bike course of about 25 km to the ‘Unser Frau’ statue, followed by a running course of about 11 km to Kurzras and a final 6.5 km course to be completed on touring skis. The finishing line is on the Grawand mountain in the Schnals Valley Glacier, so the participants of the Ötzi Alpine Marathon cover an impressive altitude difference of 3,447 m.
