This year, the traditional Milk Festival will be taking place in the centre of Sarnthein, the main village in the unspoilt Sarntal Valley, north of Bolzano and right in the heart of South Tyrol.

The Milk Festival offers fun for young and old and is the perfect destination for families. You can have a wonderful time here with milking competitions, milk painting, milk can carrying and much more. This festival is where tradition meets modernity: typical South Tyrolean dishes and modern recipes, traditional milk processing, and highly-monitored milk production. Of course, you have to taste some too!

During the two-day festival, you can learn everything about milk processing and explore and taste ‘white gold’ and its many products in a whole new way.

Dance groups and musical entertainment make things very festive and and are part of the Milk Festival too.
