Every year, on the first weekend of February, the international Toblach-Cortina cross-country ski race takes place.
Both the 42 km classic and 35 km skating routes lead from the military airport in Toblach at the foot of the ‘Drei Zinnen’ mountains over the disused railway track to the centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Amateurs and hobby cross-country skiers with a competitive streak can measure their skills against those of the stars of the international cross-country ski scene.
Spectators can take in the show and admire the breathtaking backdrop along the route which starts in Toblach, goes along the old railway track, and finishes in Cortina.
