Kastelruth Christmas

For four weekends at Christmas, farmers and craftspeople present their products on the Kastelruth village square in one of the most beautiful historic village centres in South Tyrol. In addition to the small but special Christmas market, the farmwomen of Kastelruth show their true hands, or rather, their pots and pans. From hot mulled wine to biscuits, Christmas stollen or zelten, to Kastelruth Krapfen (type of doughnut), the "Kastelruther Bauernkuchl” (farmer’s kitchen) serves good food from the South Tyrolean cuisine and offers almost anything you could want. Every year, the the Kastelruther Spatzen band do the honours and set the mood for this festival of love with Christmas carols and contemplative lyrics.
