An Autumn Highlight
Chestnuts are the stars of the Feldthurns ‘Keschtnigl’ (chestnut) Week, hardly surprising, since there are about 3,300 chestnut trees in the area.
Total autumn atmosphere in Feldthurns
Because there are so many chestnut trees (about 3,300) growing there, they characterise the Feldthurns landscape . During the “Keschtnigl" chestnut week, everything focuses on this prickly noble fruit. From mid-October to the beginning of November, the Keschtnigl Week offers special chestnut delicacies from traditional farmers’ recipes. In addition, a varied supporting programme is offered, including a "Törggelemarkt", guided Törggele hikes with a stop at a Buschenschank (country inn) and a children’s chestnut walk.
