Tradition can truly be felt at Römerhof farm in Tramin. Farmer Christian and his wife Mariagrazia have devoted themselves to the cultivation of 'Tirggplent', an old South Tyrolean corn variety. The idea came to them one winter evening, as they realised that there was an old stone mill in their garage. They then got the mill working again. By producing and processing corn, they want to maintain a piece of traditional South Tyrolean agriculture. While Christian takes care of the work in the field, Mariagrazia processes the corn in the farm's own mill, packs it and delivers it. Son Sebastian and daughter Emma also actively support the parents, especially with sales, which all family members help with.
