The farm

The hens at Pennhof farm enjoy wonderful views across the whole Eisack river valley. “The recently built hen coop, special organic feed and ample space to roam all year round mean that my hens are happy hens“, says Hansjörg, the young farmer. He provides ideal conditions for producing particularly tasty free-range eggs. The organic farm set at 800m above sea level also produces meat from suckling herds as well as Barbian sweet chestnuts.

Processing

After removing the eggs from the nests, they are washed, checked for damage and sorted. Each egg is then provided with an egg code, which provides information about its origin and how it is kept.
