The farm

At 1,353 meters above sea level in Avelengo, on the sunny high plateau, lies the Hieslerhof – a paradise for bees. Here, the bee colonies are kept with the utmost care and in harmony with nature. "To provide my bees with the purest nectar and high-quality pollen, I choose the locations with particular care. Our hives are located around Avelengo and the Merano region," explains beekeeper Christian. The result is honey of outstanding quality and a unique aroma.

The Eschgfäller family passionately looks after almost 100 bee colonies and ensures that they thrive in the best locations around Hafling.
In spring, the bees collect the first nectar in Labers, above Trauttmansdorff Castle near Meran. When summer begins and the flowers at higher altitudes begin to bloom, the beehives are brought to Hafling and the Hirzer area. There, the busy bees collect the precious nectar from meadow and forest flowers as well as the aromatic Alpine rose honey.
The result: regional honey from South Tyrol - natural, sustainable and of the highest quality.

Processing

The honey from Hieslerhof is 100% natural and excellent quality. Depending on the location of the bee colony, the Eschgfällers refine different types of honey: blossom honey, forest honey and cream honey.
Centrifuged and put into jars directly at the farm, the honey is pure and full of nutritious substances. A genuine natural product from South Tyrol that reflects the unique taste of the region.
