The Stelvia National Park is not only rich in larch stands, also swiss pine trees are common.
This particular hike is located on the sunny side of the valley, and if you're lucky, you can see the normal very shy chamois while climbin! At the same time you have a unique view of the Lake Gioveretto and the surrounding mountains.
