A varied hike which leads past beautiful lookouts right to the Geisler Mountains.

Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss valley and drive to Zans (car park subject to charge) 

• Hiking time: 4h 10min • Trail numbers: 25, 32, 31A, 33, 3 (Dolomitenhöhenweg), 6 • From car park Zans (1680 m) follow trail no. 25 (which starts behind the alpine hut Treffpunkt Zans) slightly ascending alongside the stream Kaserillbach. From the meadow Kirchwiesl (1837 m), follow trail no. 32 to the alpine hut Kaserill Alm (1920 m). Pass by the hut and hike on trail no. 31A to the alpine hut Gampenalm (2062 m). The slightly steeper trail no. 33 leads up to hut Schlüterhütte (2297 m). Trail no. 3 (Dolomitenhöhenweg) starts behind the hut and leads in southern direction to Sobutsch (2466 m). Stay on trail no. 3 and hike down to Kreuzjoch (2293 m). Turn onto trail no. 6 and walk through the small Tschantschenon valley, passing by the alpine hut Tschantschenon (1928 m – closed), back down to car park Zans.
