Coming from the north:
München – Rosenheim – Kufstein – Innsbruck – Brennerautobahn – exit at Brixen – national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße to Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley – Sand in Taufers/ Campo Tures
Coming from the west:
Reschen pass, Bozen, Brixen and national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße to Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley - Sand in Taufers/ Campo Tures
Coming from the east:
Motorway Tauernautobahn or Felbertauern tunnel to Lienz and continue on to Innichen -Toblach - Bruneck – turn right into the Ahrntal Valley - Sand in Taufers/ Campo Tures
Coming from the south:
Verona – Trento – Bozen – Motorway Brennerautobahn to the exit at Brixen – national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley - Sand in Taufers/ Campo Tures

Route description

Start in Campo Tures village centre, cross Aurino, at hotel Alte Mühle take path to Acereto and continue to the end. Spikes, trail crampons and poles advisable, partly steep, possibly icy climbs. Cross squirrel education trail, continue uphill.
500 m elevation, walking time 2 hours, steep in parts. Outbound = return route. Start and finish both accessible by bus, bus stop bus station Campo Tures, Rieser or Moosmair Acereto. Refreshments Campo Tures, Acereto.

General description

Beautiful winter hike to Ahornach/Acereto – sun-kissed, scattered rural settlement on a slope, opposite imposing Wasserfallspitz/Punta della Cascata.
