This easy excursion is dedicated to the famous pioneer of mountaineering Viktor Wolf Edler von Glanvell and leads from Schmieden/Ferrara to the impressive Pragser Wildsee lake. You mostly walk through the beautiful and characteristical wood, which represents the original access to the lake.

Starting point: Schmieden/Ferrara (1222 m)                                                                  

Arrival point: Pragser Wildsee lake (1494 m)

Please note: Due to the temperature fluctuations, there may be icy patches on the trails and we therefore recommend the use of crampons!

Valley entrance Prags/Braies – road junction to Pragser Wildsee lake turn right to "Schmieden/Ferrara di Braies".

At Schmieden/Ferrara you follow the forest path with the marker no. 1. After a while, you arrive to the therapeutic bath of Neuprags/Braies Nuova and then shortly after to the lake.
