Easy circular trail in the midst of snow-covered forests. From time to time you can enjoy a view of the centre of Schmieden/ Ferrara and the traditional farms on the Pragser Berg mountain.

Please note: Due to the temperature fluctuations, there may be icy patches on the trails and we therefore recommend the use of crampons!

Valley entrance Braies – road junction to Braies lake turn right to "Ferrara/Schmieden".

From the church in Schmieden /Ferrara, start the circular trail in an easterly direction and walk past the school until you reach the main road. Cross the main road and continue along the asphalt road past the "Glögglhof" farm. Soon you reach the prepared winter hiking trail, which you follow along the “Stolla” stream for about 1 km. You will then reach a crossroads where you turn left. The trail brings you back to the main road, which you cross again and hike back to Schmieden /Ferrara.
