From the bus stop in Bahnhofstraße at 1087 m, walk along the pavement of the village exit road, under the railway bridge and turn right after about 50 m. At the crossing with the sign for “Ried” turn right anew and continue straight on the paved road. Soon you reach a bridge with the sign for the “Lettner Hof”. There, leave the road and, along the stream, climb on the paved path uphill until you reach the Lettner Hof after several bends. Once there, following the sign number 39, turn right and then keep straight and hike through the forest. After a short hike you get to the signpost for the “Gailer Hof” which is the endpoint of your ascent on path number 39. From there, it is another 1.5 km to the Gailer Hof with only little difference in altitude. Once there, have a rest, before you return to Welsberg on the normal road that is approximately 2 km long.
