The walk begins at the Seiser Alm mountain station in Compatsch. The trail leads, mostly on level ground, over vast Alpine meadows up towards Panorama. If you prefer, you can save yourself this effort and take the Panorama lift. Now continue towards the Hotel Goldknopf and Almrosenhütte hut before leading slightly downhill to the Refuge Mahlknecht. This trail is absolutely overflowing with wonderful views on the Dolomites. The return walk leads past Tirler to Saltria, where the Almbus will take you back to your set-off point in Compatsch.
