Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo. To get to Tesido, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo. To get to Tesido, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.

From the center of Taisten, drive up the village road, past the Gothic capitol and parish church in the direction of Hotel Alpen Tesitin. After 50 m take the road to the right to reach the Guggenberg farmhouse and follow the road to the next crossroads. From there you take a left and reach the starting point in a few minutes after a sharp right turn: the paid parking lot above the Mudler mountain restaurant. There the footpath begins. Always following trail marker No. 38 A, you will reach the Taistner Alm hut at 2012 m (refreshment possibility). Along the way, beautiful views towards the Dolomites open up again and again.
