It is a forest path of cosiness, no altitude difference and no special impulses. You will always have the village of Sesto on your left and pass the famous Sexten cemetery. From the reservoir through the forest to San Candido.
Tips and advices: very little difference of altitude and no special efforts, a comfortable forest way. Pass the cemetery  and also the Stifts Church in San Candido.
Summary: a very nice and calm excursion with the possibility to mix culture and shopping at San Candido.

Important notice: Proper footwear and suitable winter clothing are required for all winter hikes. Due to possible icy sections – even on groomed trails – the use of microspikes/crampons and trekking poles is recommended.

Parking available at Helmjet Sexten (paid from 4 hours during the high season).

Coming from the Puster Valley, turn into the Sexten Valley at Innichen. Coming from the Kreuzberg Pass, follow the main road to Sexten. Start at Haus der Berge, Dolomitenstraße 45

We walk up to the church of Sesto (it is worth a visit the cementery). We pass the church follow the Lanerweg (a left after the church) and by the Laner farm begins the path nr. 5 later nr. 4 to San Candido. We cross beautiful flower meadows, pass by a few farms and reach the wood. The way is very quiet, deserted and very easy to go. Arrived at San Candido it is a must to visit the church of the 9th century. Going back by bus or walk is up to you, also long the river down the valley. 
It is a very good half-day-excursion with the possibility to do some shopping
