Moderate hike from Pichl via Schintlholz and Hölzl to Wiesen, passing traditional hamlets with optional bus return.

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo. To get to Tesido and the Val Casies Valley, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo. To get to Tesido and the Val Casies, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.

The hike starts at the Pichl parish church in the direction of Schintlholz farmhouse. Follow the trail marker No. 51/54. The trail leads uphill to a crucifix. There you take a right and continue to the chapel of the Schintlholz farmhouse (1478 m). Turn left and continue downhill following trail markers No. 21A and No. 55 to the Hölzl farmstead and descend to Wiesen, where you can take the bus to the Außerpichl bus stop to return. From there cross the main road and walk up to the parish church, the starting point.
