Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo.

From the parking lot of the school center in Welsberg, follow the road in the direction of Castel Welsperg and after the farmstead on the right, always follow the signpost Römerweg and Mountain Eggerberg/Niederdorf with signpost No. 45. After approx. one hour you reach the highest point of the hike at 1460 m. Before descending, turn right and after the power station again. In wide bends you go down the Eggerberg Mountain, past the little Mooskirche church, to the parish church where you cross Via von Kurz. There you take a right across the bridge and reach the bus stop to return to Welsberg.
