Easy circular walk in St. Martin with views of Seekofel and a pleasant path along the Pidig stream.

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo. To get to Tesido and the Val Casies Valley, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo. To get to Tesido and the Val Casies, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.

From the tourist office walk on the sidewalk along the road to the Marakirchl chapel, from there turn left to Hotel Waldruhe (refreshment stop) at the cottage Preindl. The path leads past the Hirbenhof, Rauterhof and Mudlerhof farms to reach the Martins near the main road. After approx. 200 m along the road, the route continues along the Pidig Bach stream to cross it over a wooden bridge. Next you pass the Örlerhof, Gallerhof and Blaslerhof farms. Cross the wooden bridge back to the main road, and from there return to the starting point or continue inside the valley to the cottage Kapaiern. Go right past a capital along the meditative route and cross the stream again to return to St. Martin.
