From the Gasser Hut to the Mair in Plun Hut, then to the Gasteiger Saddle and on to Rittner Horn.

From Klausen, take the LS87 to Villanders (village). At the DESPAR, turn right towards the Villanders Alm. After about 25 minutes’ drive, you reach the Saltnerstein car park (Gasser Hut).

Line 345: Klausen – Villanders – Villanders Alm

The winter hike to Rittner Horn starts at the Gasser Hut. Following the groomed winter walking trail, you first reach the Mair in Plun Hut and then continue via the Gasteiger Saddle. Afterwards, always follow the winter trail to Rittner Horn (snowshoes are required for the final section). Along the route, the Mair in Plun Hut, the Obere Horn Haus and the Gasser Hut are perfect for a refreshment stop. Return the same way.
