The hike begins in the village center of Deutschnofen, next to the church and the tourism office. Follow trail [5] heading north. After about 1 km, turn left onto trail [5A], which gently descends to the Unterkaplun farm at 1,301 m. From there, continue along the groomed cross-country ski trail until you reach the Wölflhof at 1,290 m, where you can stop for refreshments. For the return, follow the European long-distance trail [E5] toward the Gattererhof, then continue along gravel and paved roads back to the starting point in the village.
