Kasern-Prettau/Casere-Predoi
Hiking tour round trip lake Waldnersee
Bus Stop Kasern/Casere – Hochwieser Alm – Wieser Werfa Biotope – Lake Waldner – Bus Stop Kasern/Casere
This scenic circular hike leads through the high-alpine landscape, offering an immersive nature experience with wide panoramic views of an unspoiled mountain environment.
In the area of the protected Wieser Werfa biotope, the trail runs in proximity to streams and alpine brooks, without crossing them, within a particularly sensitive and valuable natural habitat. A highlight of the route is the idyllic Lake Waldner, located at the foot of the impressive Rauchkofel peak, surrounded by a peaceful high-mountain setting.
The views repeatedly open towards the opposite high-alpine world of the Venediger Group as well as the striking dark peaks of the Durreck group within the nature park.
Important note: the Wieser Werfa biotope is a strictly protected natural area and must not be entered. The hiking route passes at a respectful distance in order to preserve and protect this fragile ecosystem.
