From Meran/Merano to the Passeiertal Valley in direction of Timmelsjoch Mountain Pass/Jaufenpass Mountain Pass until St. Martin/S. Martino.
The starting point is easy to reach with the following public connections:
With bus line 240 from Meran/Merano to St. Martin/S. Martino.
With bus line 240 from Meran/Merano to St. Martin/S. Martino.
Starting at the San Martino tennis courts/ice rink, cross over the wooden bridge and follow the Passeierdammweg causeway 100m towards San Leonardo. Proceed to the right across the grass to the Haselstaude inn and then further to the Pfeiftal farm tavern. Follow the E5 (European footpath signs) as far as San Leonardo. The return is by bus or along the Passeierdammweg causeway on foot.
