Ratschingstal valley
From Flading to the Ratschinger Weiße peak
Starting from the end of the Ratschingstal valley in Flading, trail no. 30 skirts the Pfeifer Huisele gorge through woodland and along a flight of steps until reaching the tree line. Cross the small bridge on the right and continue uphill on trail no. 30 via numerous switchbacks, then follow trail no. 30A to the Gleckalmmountainhut. From here, continue on trails no. 30B and no. 31B to Glecksee lake. Trail no. 31 then leads to the summit of the Ratschinger Weiße.

Please note: this hike requires surefootedness, mountain experience and a good level of physical fitness. The route is recommended for experienced hikers only.
Parking is available near St. Mary’s Chapel in Flading.
From Sterzing, continue towards the head of the Ratschingstal valley until reaching St. Mary’s Chapel in the hamlet of Flading.
The starting point cannot be reached directly by public transport. It is possible to travel as far as the “Larch” stop on bus line 319 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ratschings/Racines) and continue on foot to the starting point (approx. 45 min., 130 metres of elevation gain).
