Toblach/Dobbiaco
Via ferrata: Tofana di Roces - Giovanni Lipella
The starting point is the Angelo Dibona hut, from which a wide war route leads towards the south face of the Tofana.
The via ferrata on the Tofana di Roces is a very long war route with many walking passages. Two ladders lead to the 500 m long, absolutely dark "Castelletto tunnel" (headlamp required). The real difficulties are only encountered in the last section of the via ferrata.
The descent takes place on the ascent path back to the saddle. The blue marked trail leads to the Rifugio Giussani hut and from there back to the starting point.
WARNING: The GPX data may differ from reality.
This via ferrata is a very long and demanding mountain tour that requires mountain experience, knowledge of the weather and a very good physical condition. The long ribbons, which are well secured in the exposed areas, lead again and again in the lower part to the steep steps that connect the crossings.
