Route description

The tour begins at the mountain station of the Paolina chairlift (Paolina hut 2,125 m). From here take the Masarè path [552] and then path [9] to the Vajolonpass | Passo Vajolon. The via ferrata to the peak of Rotwand | Roda di Vael begins here (2,806 m).

Descent is on the via ferrata to the Torre Finestra (Window Tower) and the Parete del Diavolo (Devil’s Wall) and on to the Rotwand | Roda di Vael hut (2,283 m), Pederiva hut (2,275 m). From here, continue the descent on trail [549] and [539] back to the starting point.
Less experienced hikers take the ascent route for the descent.

Difficulty: medium (B/C) - only for sure-footed climbers with climbing equipment and experience.

Technically not very hard, with some difficult spots. Famous for its beautiful scenery and stunning panoramic views.
