The starting point of the Uphill Vigiljoch route starts at the mountain station of the Aschbach cableway, which can be reached by an uphill trail to Aschbach or from Rabland via cable car. The first 500m are still paved, after which the route turns into a pleasant forest road leading in serpentines up to Vigiljoch mountain.
