Route description
From the railway station in Mals, the route goes uphill. First up towards the historic centre, then northwestwards onto the Mals-Burgeis cycle path. Crossing the lower Mals heath, follow the road on a beautiful slope on the western side of the Haidersee Lake to St. Valentin. The route continues along the western shore of Lake Reschen to the Schöneben mountain station. The station can be reached via the old-village-street in the direction of Rojen. A great panorama of the mountain world opens up. The descent is again via Rojen to Lake Reschen and follows the shore to Graun to the famous tower. From there the Langtaufers Valley can be climbed along the provincial road past small ponds to Melag (1.900 m).
From Graun via St. Valentin, Alsack and Ulten return to Mals on the old local road and enjoy the view of the Ortler mountain range.
