Hafling/Avelengo
To the Maiser Alm & Moschwaldwalm mountain huts
Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran - Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling. Shortly before Hafling Dorf turn left towards Falzeben.
Parking area in Falzeben, on charge (day-ticket € 4,00 for car)
The route starts at the parking area Falzeben in Hafling (1,609m). From here the trail no. 14 leads to the Zuegg Hütte Mountain Hut and on to hut Rotwandhütte (1,817m), then continue until the Wieser Schüpfl. Follow the forest road no. 17 to the right, cross the bridge over the Rio Sinigo until the Maiser Alm (1,783m) and Moschwaldalm (1,760m) Mountain Huts. Past the huts keep going on the right hand side and hike across the steep slope (about 15 minutes), cross the Rio Sinigo. From there you soon reach the starting point of Falzeben.
This hike is also advisable in the opposite direction.
With the bus until the bus stop "Falzeben":
- Bus no. 225 "Meran - Hafling - Falzeben"
- Bus no. 204 "Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen" (until Hafling Dorf, than change to busline no. 225)
