The route takes hikers mainly along wide paths through forests but also makes a stop at the idyllic Bruggen Weiher Pond, which has a very unique fauna.

Circular hike recommended all year round. Please note: Please note the opening times and closing days of the huts.

Parking area in Hafling Dorf/Avelengo paese, on charge (under the parish church)

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street until the parking lot in Hafling Dorf (below the parish church).

With the bus until the bus stop Hafling Dorf:

  • Bus no. 225 Meran - Hafling - Falzeben
  • Bus no. 204 Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen

The hike begins at the parking lot in the village of Hafling/Avelengo on 1,280m. From there the trail no. 16 leads to Leadner Alm mountain hut (1,514m). From there, the route ascends slightly along the Trail No. 11 to the Vöraner Alm mountain hut (1,875 m). For the return trip, the recommended route is trail no. 2 to the Wurzer Alm mountain hut (1,707 m) and continues until the village of Hafling.
