On the way to the Silvesteralm/Malga San Silvestro hut you can see cows and horses.
The small chapel of Silvester/San Silvestro was constructed in the 12th century and is decorated with murals from the early Middle Ages.

The path to the Silvesteralm is something special because it is part of the so-called Sylvesto circle, a tour of various interesting stations.

Parking places are available.

From Toblach in northern direction, passing the district Wahlen/San Silvestro, until the end of the road.

Accessible by public transport. The timetables are available on www.sii.bz.it.

The hiking tour starts at Wahlen/San Silvestro which is a fraction of Toblach/Dobbiaco. It is possible to park the car at the "Schnegger Säge". The path no. 1 leads in the middle of the wood, in the Silvestertal/Valle San Silvestro valley, till the Silvesteralm/Malga San Silvestro hut. The path to reach the chapel of Silvester passes behind the hut.
