The Open Air Museum on the Monte Piano of the First World War is one of the most important witness of the battles between Austria and Italy in the years 1915-1917. It consists of trench warfares, tunnels and emplacements.
The hike is particularly special because it combines history and the special experience of the hike and offers unadulterated insights into the battles.

From Toblach in southern direction and further on to Misurina.
Accessible by public transport. The timetables are available on www.sii.bz.it.
The hiking tour starts at the lake of Antorno (Misurina). The path no. 122 takes up to Bosi hut. Behind the hut the the path leads up to the Monte Piano.
